State Dem Party outraises state GOP in final 10 weeks of ’24

The latest fundraising reports show the Dem Party raised nearly $2.8 million between Oct. 22 — the close of the last reporting period — and Dec. 31. It spent $4.2 million and finished the year with $650,569 in the bank. The state GOP, meanwhile, reported $2.4 million in receipts over that period and $3 million in disbursements. The Republican Party finished 2024 with $673,257 cash on hand.

Moore, Pocan to skip Trump inauguration

U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore says she will not be attending Trump’s inauguration Monday, instead planning to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Milwaukee. U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Town of Vermont, had previously announced he would also not be attending the inauguration. He is instead doing a day of service in Wisconsin.

WisDems gave Crawford $1 million; big GOP donors Uihlein, Michels max out to Schimel in court race

The state Dem Party transferred $1 million to liberal Supreme Court candidate Susan Crawford over the last six months, accounting for 44% of what she raised over the period. Meanwhile, conservative candidate Brad Schimel listed a series of donations from high-profile GOP donors such as Illinois businessman Dick Uihlein and former guv candidate Tim Michels, each of whom gave the maximum $20,000.
