Representative Lisa Subeck Named Friend of Public Health
MADISON –Representative Lisa Subeck (D-Madison) was named a “Friend of Public Health” by the Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments and Boards (WALHDAB) and the Wisconsin Public Health Association (WPHA). Together, WALHDAB and WPHA represent over 1,200 public health professionals in communities across the state, striving to prevent, promote and protect the citizens of Wisconsin. Both groups are active in advocacy at the Capitol to further promote health in Wisconsin.
“Thank you to the WALHDAB and WPHA for naming me a Friend of Public Health. I share their commitment to promoting a healthy population and workforce throughout the state,” said Rep. Subeck. “I remain committed to ensuring that local public health officers and agencies have the funding and support they need to address issues such as communicable disease prevention. The work they do in communities throughout Wisconsin is essential to the continued health and well-being of millions of state residents and I truly appreciate being recognized by these dedicated health professionals.”
