-- Assembly Majority Leader Tyler August, R-Lake Geneva, announced this morning he will run for the 31st AD, the same seat freshman GOP Rep. Ellen Schutt, of Clinton, plans to seek this fall under the new maps.
The announcement ends weeks of speculation about the future of a lawmaker many see as the speaker-in-waiting once Robin Vos, R-Rochester, leaves the Assembly.
