A New Voice for the 6th: WOJO Pledges to Put WI-06 First, Not D.C.

Oshkosh, WI – Today, Aaron “WOJO” Wojciechowski officially announced his candidacy for Congress in Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District, launching a campaign to bring a fresh, accountable voice to Washington. Running as a Democrat against 12-year incumbent Glenn Grothman, WOJO is committed to addressing the district’s most pressing issues—healthcare, jobs, farming, and infrastructure—while rejecting the D.C. politicking that has left WI-06 behind.

“After 12 years of promises, where’s the progress?” Wojciechowski asked in his campaign launch announcement on social media. “Grothman pledged to serve only 10 years, but he’s running for a 7th term—breaking his word to the people of WI-06. I’m running to give our district the new voice it deserves, one that listens to Oshkosh, Sheboygan, Dodge County, and every community in between.”

Wojciechowski, a proud Wisconsin native with deep roots in the district, brings a fresh perspective to the race. His campaign is built on a platform of transparency, accessibility, and putting WI-06 first. To underscore this commitment, WOJO announced three key pledges:

1. No Stocks in Congress: “I will not buy any stocks while in office, standing in strong opposition to insider trading by elected officials.”

2. No Corporate PAC Money: “I’ll take no corporate PAC money for my entire time in Congress, ensuring my votes always put WI-06 first, not corporate interests.”

3. Monthly Town Halls: “I’ll host a town hall every month to give residents of the 6th a real seat at the table and the ability to hold me accountable.”

WOJO’s platform focuses on the issues that matter most to WI-06 families:

Healthcare: Expanding access and lowering costs, especially for rural communities facing higher prescription costs and hospital closures.

Jobs: Fighting for a living wage, workers rights, and protecting manufacturing jobs in Sheboygan and Manitowoc.

Farming: Advocating for a dairy-first trade policy to support family farms in Dodge and Green Lake Counties.

Infrastructure: Launching a WI-06 Infrastructure Task Force to fix crumbling roads and bridges.

“Glenn Grothman has spent over a decade in D.C., voting against healthcare access, ignoring our farmers, and failing to deliver on infrastructure,” Wojciechowski said. “It’s time for a change. I’m here to stand with dairy, not D.C., to fight for our workers, not corporate PACs, and to listen to the people of WI-06, not the Beltway.”

WOJO’s campaign kicks off with a district-wide “WOJO’s Listening Tour: Voices of the 6th,” starting May 31, 2025, at the Oshkosh Public Library. The tour will visit Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, and rural communities, featuring town halls, “Coffee with Aaron” sessions, and live streamed events to engage voters. Voters can join the conversation online and follow along on social media with #WOJOforCongress and #WI06Voices.

“I’m running to be a new voice for the 6th—one that fights for every family, farmer, and worker in WI-06,” Wojciechowski concluded. “Together, we can build a future where our district comes first, built on dignity and respect for the truth. Let’s get to work.”
