MADISON, Wis. — Today, Governor Tony Evers vetoed a Republican bill to restore Wisconsin’s testing standards after Jill Underly lowered them.

“It is shameful that Tony Evers, a former educator and DPI Secretary, is siding with Jill Underly’s efforts to lower Wisconsin’s testing standards. Tony Evers and Jill Underly have failed Wisconsin families and students. On April 1st, Wisconsinites will elect Brittany Kinser to raise the standards and restore trust and transparency to DPI,” stated Chairman Brian Schimming.
