(Oshkosh, Wisconsin) — On March 18, members of the United Auto Workers Local 291 union went on strike for a fair and just union contract at Cummins in Oshkosh. The UAW represents approximately 90 workers at the off highway axles and T-Cases manufacturer.

“The Wisconsin labor movement proudly stands in solidarity with our brothers and sisters of UAW Local 291 who are on strike at Cummins in Oshkosh for a fair and just contract,” said Stephanie Bloomingdale, President of the Wisconsin AFL-CIO. “We urge Cummins to negotiate in good faith until a mutually beneficial contract is reached. The courageous members of UAW Local 291 are taking a needed stand for our American middle class by fighting to combat harmful temporary worker language and an increase to an already high number of mandated Saturday work. UAW Local 291 workers at Cummins deserve fair wages and time off to rest and be with their families. United together, members of UAW Local 291 will keep fighting until they win the contract they deserve.”
