Madison, Wisconsin (April 3, 2025) – Today the court elected Justice Ann Walsh Bradley as chief justice to serve a two-year term commencing May 1, 2025. It is anticipated that Justice Jill Karofsky will fulfill the remainder of her term once Justice Ann Walsh Bradley “irrevocably, decline[s] to serve as chief justice or resign[s] as chief justice.” I wish my colleagues all the best. It has been my honor to serve as chief justice for the last four years.
