Wisconsin finished 2023-24 with about $400 million more in the general fund than was previously expected, according to the state’s annual fiscal report released today.
That puts the state on track to finish the biennium with a $3.5 billion surplus, if projections for revenue and expenses in the second year of the budget hold.
