More than two dozen Assembly members draw primary challengers

More than two dozen members of the Assembly face primary challenges this fall, according to filings with the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
By comparison, just seven incumbents drew primary challengers in 2022, though none was successful in beating GOP lawmakers.
Candidates faced a 5 p.m. deadline yesterday to turn in their nomination papers with enough valid signatures to qualify for the ballot....
