From WisPolitics … — The Elections Commission this evening will discuss a staff recommendation that it no longer allow candidates to circulate nomination papers without their street address, even if they have concerns for their personal safety. The header of
The recommendation comes on the heels of the state Supreme Court declining to say which maps should be applied to the recall effort — the ones used in the 2022 election that the liberal majority found to be unconstitutional or the lines approved by Gov. Tony Evers in February. The bill Evers signed included a provision saying the new maps don’t take effect until this fall.
The House Republican Israel Caucus member in an email newsletter said he visited various places in Israel that saw fierce combat, such as the Nova Music Festival in Re’im, where Hamas in its October 7 attack killed hundreds of civilians and took many hostage. Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan and 55 of his Dem colleagues signed onto a letter urging President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken to withhold weapons transfers to Israel after humanitarian aid workers were killed in an airstrike.
