MADISON, WI – In response to to Senator Dan Knodl’s announcement of a hearing to re-litigate the 2020 election, Senate Democratic Leader Melissa Agard released the following statement:
“Donald Trump may not be with us in Wisconsin tomorrow, but it’s very apparent that Senator Knodl is still content doing his bidding in Madison. Dan Knodl and his Republican allies have decided that if they can’t win elections, they’ll do whatever it takes to undermine them. Whether it is rehashing a Presidential election that’s almost 3 years old, threatening to impeach Supreme Court justices that don’t follow orders from the legislature, or attempting to thwart the peaceful transfer of power, Wisconsin Republicans seem to be hell-bent on undermining our elections and our democracy. It’s a shame that Donald Trump won’t be here in person tomorrow to thank his lackey, Senator Knodl, for perpetrating the same dangerous conspiracy theories that are at the forefront of his Presidential campaign.”
