WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald released the following statement in response to reports to the Chinese spy balloon shot down off the Carolina coast:
“Finally, the Chinese spy balloon has been brought down, a mere week since it first entered American airspace. It should never have been allowed to traverse across the entirety of the continental United States before being brought down,said Congressman Scott Fitzgerald. The Biden Administration must answer for this lackluster response to what is a serious national security threat. Congress should receive a full briefing on the situation, and I will work with my colleagues to hold the Administration and the People’s Republic of China accountable.”
