WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) today released the following statement on President Biden’s proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
“Last November, the American people sent President Biden a message: stop reckless spending, reduce the national debt, and combat the threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party. If President Biden’s budget is any indication, he is not listening. This budget increases spending on domestic progressive priorities at more than double the rate of defense, increases taxes on hardworking Americans, and shortchanges the Pentagon at the worst possible moment. It is not a serious document and will be dead-on-arrival in Congress.”
