Last night, Governor Evers delivered his budget address in the Assembly Chambers in a joint session with the Senate.
Rep. Ohnstad had the following to say:
“I commend Governor Evers for his commitment to building a better Wisconsin, and I stand behind his plan to maintain the economy’s momentum, bolster the state’s workforce, build safe, reliable infrastructure, and invest in our kids, schools, and communities.”
“I am proud to support Governor Evers’ proposal for a 10% middle-class tax cut, which will provide relief to working families and help spur economic growth. Wisconsin’s middle-class families are the backbone of our state, and they deserve a break. This tax cut will provide a welcome boost to their pocketbooks and help ensure Wisconsin remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
“I am also thrilled his budget includes significant investments to ensure that mental health resources are readily available to Wisconsinites. By prioritizing mental health, we can provide the resources every Wisconsinite needs to thrive and succeed.”
“Lastly, I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Assembly to pass a budget which reflects the needs and values of the people of Wisconsin. Together, we can build a brighter future for our state.”
