Madison (March 28, 2023) — The NFIB Wisconsin PAC has endorsed former Justice Daniel Kelly for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The political action committee is comprised exclusively of NFIB members in Wisconsin, and its endorsement is based on a survey of NFIB members throughout the state.

“Virtually every Wisconsin small business is directly affected by the decisions and opinions of the Wisconsin Supreme Court,” said Bill G. Smith, NFIB’s State Director in Wisconsin. “The Court plays a critical role in maintaining a consistent and predictable legal climate for our small businesses, creating an environment for the creation and growth of small business entrepreneurs.”

As a former Supreme Court Justice, Kelly has reviewed thousands of cases and authored dozens of leading legal opinions. He strongly believes the proper role of a Supreme Court Justice is to interpret the law, support the state and federal constitution, and apply the law as written guided by judicial restraint and respect for each branch of government.

NFIB’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Kelly’s campaign. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to vote.
