Derrick Van Orden’s temper was on full display last night as he screamed and cursed out Senate pages for taking photos in the U.S. Capitol. Van Orden even had the gall to call their innocent actions “disrespectful” to the space, despite the fact that Van Orden stormed the Capitol on January 6th with his fellow insurrectionists. This is hardly Van Orden’s first public tantrum, earlier reporting noted that he accosted a teenage library worker over a book display recognizing Pride month.
If Van Orden is making one thing clear, it’s that he’s an extremist unfit to serve Wisconsinites in Congress.
DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Derrick Van Orden is blaming his outburst on having respect for the Capitol grounds but he and his fellow insurrectionists had no problem storming and damaging the Capitol on January 6th. With his habit of berating children and throwing temper tantrums, he doesn’t deserve to represent Wisconsinites in Congress.”
