Madison, Wis. – Representative Rick Gundrum (R-Slinger) has been appointed to serve as Chair of the
Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economy and Small Business Development. After his appointment was
announced, he released the following statement:
“I am honored to be appointed to serve as Chair of the Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economy and
Small Business Development. Wisconsin’s economy will face many difficulties in the years ahead,
including inflation, the labor shortage, and supply chain issues. Many small businesses are still
struggling to grow in an economy with multiple challenges.
“A top priority of mine will be to support the state’s business community by lowering the tax burden,
investing in our workforce, and reducing the number of government regulations. I hope to ensure that
Wisconsin’s economy is on solid footing in the new session.”
Representative Gundrum has served as Chair of the Committee on Aging and Long-Term Care since 2019. The committee was combined with the Committee on Health to form the Committee on Health, Aging and Long Term Care. Representative Gundrum will serve as a member of that committee, as well as on the Committee on Children and Families, Committee on Local Government, Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse Prevention, and the Committee on Workforce Development and Economic Opportunities.
