Pandemic, supply chain issues inflame workforce housing crisis

An expert with UW-Madison says the pandemic and supply chain disruptions have inflamed an existing workforce housing crisis in the state.  Kurt Paulsen, a professor of urban and regional planning with the university, says the cost of building new housing has risen by 35 percent in the past two years.

Report: Special interest groups top record for spending in Wisconsin races

Special interest groups obliterated Wisconsin’s record for outside spending in Legislative and non-congressional statewide races this midterm cycle, a Wisconsin Democracy Campaign review found. The $93.01 million spent on the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state and treasurer races in 2022 eclipsed the $61.9 million spent in 2018.
