Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, suggested he has the votes in his caucus to overturn Gov. Tony Evers’ statewide mask mandate. Still, it would take both houses agreeing to come in for a special session to vote on the mandate.

After Evers issued the mandate, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, said he opposed the move and expected “legal challenges from citizen groups.” He hasn’t commented publicly on whether he supports bringing the Legislature back for a vote to overturn the directive.

Should the Legislature come back in extraordinary session to overturn Evers’ mask mandate? Let us know below and please explain in the comments.
